The struggle is real alright! This is going to be an interesting semester. I have 3 classes that seem to be pretty busy.
Now that the first week of the new semester is coming to a close, it's time to reflect on what I have learned. First, I need to manage my time MUCH better then I have this week. I have been flying by the seat of my pants and just living from day to day. It has been hard getting back into the routine that I was in last semester before Christmas break. Second, I need to plan out my week better. I need to sit down every Monday morning and sync my calendar with my school assignments along with what's going on at my kids schools so nothing falls through the cracks. Third, I CAN NOT get any homework done when my kids are home! Trying to do this assignment on a Saturday afternoon has been HORRIBLE!! I need to remember that things need to get done during the week during school hours! Fourth, I need to remember that it's OK to say "no" to an invitation. Just because someone invites me for something does not mean I have to attend. Honestly, between school, kids and work I just don't have the time. Plain and simple! And last but not least, I need to get my diet back under control! The holidays were terrible for my diet. In the last year, I have lost 100 lbs. I made it through the holidays without gaining any weight. I didn't lose any weight either. Bad eating habits have lingered through the holidays and they need to stop! My goal to help me get back on track is to plan my meals when I plan out my week.
It is such a blessing that I can attend school! It's a blessing that my kids are happy and healthy and they have great schools to attend. I am blessed with a wonderful husband that provides for me and our family. The list is endless! I am looking forward to this semester. It seems to be chock-full of not only lessons about business, but life lessons as well! I'm looking forward to learning more about business and about myself!
